August 5th
Indian equity markets extended losses for the fourth straight session on Tuesday, August 5, amid a lack of positive triggers and mounting global concerns. Caution prevailed ahead of the Reserve Bank of Indiaβs (RBI) monetary policy decision due later this week, while escalating rhetoric from the U.S. on trade tariffs added to the uncertainty.

π Outlook Ahead
The market remains firmly in wait-and-watch mode ahead of the RBIβs policy decision on August 7. Global risk sentiment continues to be fragile, especially with Trumpβs trade tariff threats and muted FII flows. Analysts anticipate the RBI will hold rates but focus will be on its inflationary tone and commentary on liquidity.
